So travel freely in the land for four months and know that you cannot cause failure to Allah and that Allah will disgrace the unbelievers. [Al Quran ; 9:2]
And an announcement from Allah and His messenger to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah is disassociated from the polytheists, and so is His messenger. So if you repent, it will be good for you; and if you turn away, then know that you will not cause failure to Allah. And give tidings to those who have disbelieved of a painful torture. [Al Quran ; 9:3]
Except those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and they have not failed you in anything and have not backed up against you anyone. So fulfil their treaty until their term; indeed, Allah likes the pious. [Al Quran ; 9:4]
And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and establish prayer and give Zakat, then let them go their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. [Al Quran ; 9:5]
And if one of the polytheists seeks protection from you, then grant him protection so he hears the words of Allah, and deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know. [Al Quran ; 9:6]
How can there be for the polytheists a treaty with Allah and with His messenger; except those with whom you made a treaty at the sacred mosque? So as long as they are straight to you, be straight to them. Indeed, Allah likes the pious. [Al Quran ; 9:7]
How while, if they gain dominance over you, they do not observe concerning you any ties of relationship nor covenant; they please you with their mouths while their hearts refuse and most of them are disobedient. [Al Quran ; 9:8]
But if they repent and establish prayer and give Zakat, then they are your brothers in religion. And We explain the signs to a people who know. [Al Quran ; 9:11]
And if they break their oaths after their treaty and defame your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief, for indeed, there is no oath to them. Perhaps they might cease. [Al Quran ; 9:12]
Will you not fight a people who broke their oaths and intended to expel the messenger, and began (to attack) you the first time? Do you fear them? And Allah has more right that you should fear Him if you should be believers. [Al Quran ; 9:13]
Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the hearts of a believing people. [Al Quran ; 9:14]
Or did you think that you will be left while Allah has not made evident those who have struggled from among you and have not taken anyone other than Allah and His messenger and the believers as protector. And Allah is Acquainted of what you do. [Al Quran ; 9:16]
It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allah while testifying against themselves with disbelief. Those whose deeds are nullified, and in the fire they will abide. [Al Quran ; 9:17]
The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by whoever believes in Allah and the last day and establishes prayer and gives Zakat and do not fear except Allah. Hopefully for those, it may be that they are of the guided. [Al Quran ; 9:18]
Have you made giving water to the pilgrim and the maintenance of the sacred mosque equal to (the deeds of) him who have believed in Allah and the last day and struggled in the way of Allah? They are not equal in the sight of Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust people. [Al Quran ; 9:19]
Those who have believed and emigrated and struggled in the way of Allah with their wealth and themselves are greater in rank in the sight of Allah. And it is those who are the winners. [Al Quran ; 9:20]

O you who have believed! Do not take your fathers and your brothers as guardians if they liked disbelief over belief. And whoever takes them for a guardian from among you, then it is those who are the unjust. [Al Quran ; 9:23]
Say: If your fathers and your sons and your brothers and your spouses and your mates and wealth which you have acquired and a trade wherein you fear decline and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and His messenger and striving in His way, then wait until Allah brings His command; and Allah does not guide the disobedient people. [Al Quran ; 9:24]
Allah has certainly given you victory in many regions and on the day of Hunayn, when your great numbers pleased you, but they did not avail you a thing, and the land became narrow for you despite its vastness, then you turned back fleeing. [Al Quran ; 9:25]
Then Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His messenger and upon the believers and sent down soldiers whom you did not see and castigated those who have disbelieved. And that is the reward of the unbelievers. [Al Quran ; 9:26]
O you who have believed! Indeed, the polytheists are unclean (spiritually), so let them not come near the sacred mosque after this, their (final) year. And if you fear poverty then Allah will enrich you out of His grace if He wills; indeed, Allah is Knowing, Wise. [Al Quran ; 9:28]
Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the last day and who do not prohibit what Allah and His messenger have prohibited nor they adopt the religion of truth from those who have been given the book, until they give tax willingly while they are humbled. [Al Quran ; 9:29]
And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: Christ is the son of Allah; that is their saying by their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who have disbelieved before. Allah will fight them, how are they deluded? [Al Quran ; 9:30]
They took their scholars and their monks for lords other than Allah, and Christ son of Mariam while they were not commanded except that they should worship one God, there is no god but He; glory be to Him over what they associate (with Him). [Al Quran ; 9:31]
They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, and Allah refuses but to complete His light, even if the unbelievers dislike it. [Al Quran ; 9:32]
It is He Who sent His messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religions, even if the polytheists dislike it. [Al Quran ; 9:33]
O you who have believed! Indeed, many of the scholars and the monks eat away the wealth of the people in falsehood and hinder from the way of Allah. And those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of Allah, give them tidings of a painful torture. [Al Quran ; 9:34]
The day when it (their gold) will be heated in the fire of hell and seared therewith will be their foreheads and their sides and their backs; this is what you hoarded for yourselves, so taste what you used to hoard. [Al Quran ; 9:35]
Indeed, the number of the months with Allah is twelve month in the book of Allah the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the valuable religion, so be not unjust to yourselves during them and fight the polytheists collectively as they fight you collectively and know that Allah is with the pious. [Al Quran ; 9:36]
Indeed, the postponement (of restrictions within the sacred months) is an increase in disbelief by which those who have disbelieved are led astray. They make it lawful one year and prohibit it another year to correspond to the number (of months) that Allah has prohibited, so they make lawful what Allah has prohibited. Made pleasing to them is the evil of their deeds; and Allah does not guide the unbelieving people. [Al Quran ; 9:37]
O you who have believed! What is (the matter) with you that, when it is said to you to go forth in the way of Allah, you adhere heavily to the land; are you pleased with the life of this world instead of the hereafter? But the enjoyment of the life of this world compared to the hereafter is not except a little. [Al Quran ; 9:38]
If you do not go forth, He will castigate you with a painful torture and will replace you with another people, and you will not harm Him in any thing. And Allah is over everything Capable. [Al Quran ; 9:39]
If you will not help him, Allah has already helped him when those who have disbelieved expelled him as second of two (men), when they were in the cave and he said to his companion: Grieve not; indeed, Allah is with us. So Allah sent down His tranquillity upon him and aided him with soldiers whom you did not see and made the word of those who have disbelieved the lowest, and the word of Allah is that which is the highest. And Allah is Mighty, Wise. [Al Quran ; 9:40]

Had it been a near gain and a moderate travel, they would have followed you, but distant to them was hardship. And they will swear by Allah: If we had been able, we would have gone forth with you. They destroy themselves, and Allah knows that indeed they are liars. [Al Quran ; 9:42]
Allah has pardoned you when you permitted them (to remain behind) until it was made evident to you those who spoke the truth and you knew the liars. [Al Quran ; 9:43]
Those who have believed in Allah and the last day do not ask you for permission to strive with their wealth and themselves. And Allah is Knowing of the pious. [Al Quran ; 9:44]
Only those who do not believe in Allah and the last day ask you for permission and whose hearts have doubted and in their doubt they hesitate. [Al Quran ; 9:45]
And if they had wanted to go forth, they would have prepared for it a preparation, but Allah disliked their being sent, so He withheld them, and it was said: Remain with those who remained. [Al Quran ; 9:46]
Had they gone forth with you, they would not have increased you except in confusion, and they would have been active among you seeking discord. And among you there are listeners to them; and Allah is Knowing of the unjust. [Al Quran ; 9:47]
They have certainly sought discord before, and they turned matters for you until the truth came and the command of Allah prevailed while they were averse. [Al Quran ; 9:48]
And among them is one who says: Permit me and do not try me. Unquestionably, into trial they have fallen; and indeed, hell is encompassing the unbelievers. [Al Quran ; 9:49]
If good strikes you, it grieves them; and if hardship strikes you, they say: We had taken care of our affair before. And they turn away while they are rejoicing. [Al Quran ; 9:50]
Say: Do you wait for us but one of two best things? And we wait for you that Allah will strike you with torture from Himself or by our hands. So wait; indeed, we are with you waiting. [Al Quran ; 9:52]
And what prevents their spending from being accepted from them except that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His messenger and they do not come to prayer except while they are lazy, and they do not spend except while they are unwilling. [Al Quran ; 9:54]
So let not their wealth and their children please you; Allah only wants to castigate them through them in the life of this world and that their souls will depart while they are unbelievers. [Al Quran ; 9:55]
And among them are those who slander you concerning alms; but if they are given from it, they would be pleased, and if they are not given from it, at once they are upset. [Al Quran ; 9:58]
And if they were pleased with what Allah and His messenger gave them and said: Sufficient for us is Allah; Allah will give us out of His grace, and His messenger; indeed, we are toward Allah desirous. [Al Quran ; 9:59]
The alms are only for the poor and the needy and those administering it and those whose hearts are reconciled and for the captives and those in debit and for the way of Allah and (for) the traveller; an obligation from Allah. And Allah is Knowing, Wise. [Al Quran ; 9:60]

And among them are those who abuse the prophet and say: He is an ear. Say: An ear that is good for you. He believes in Allah and believes the believers and (is) a mercy for those who have believed among you. And those who abuse the messenger of Allah, for them will be a painful torture. [Al Quran ; 9:61]
They swear by Allah to you to please you while Allah and His messenger are more worthy for them to please if they should be believers. [Al Quran ; 9:62]
Do they not know that whoever opposes Allah and His messenger, that indeed for him will be a fire of hell abiding therein? That is the great disgrace. [Al Quran ; 9:63]
The hypocrites fear that a sura (a Quran chapter) is sent down to them informing them of what is in their hearts. Say: Ridicule (as you wish); indeed, Allah will expose that which you fear. [Al Quran ; 9:64]
And if you ask them, they will surely say: We were only conversing and playing. Say: Is it Allah and His signs and His messenger that you were ridiculing? [Al Quran ; 9:65]
Do not make excuses; you have already disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon a party of you, We will castigate (another) party because they were criminals. [Al Quran ; 9:66]
The hypocrite men and the hypocrite women are of one another; they command what is evil and forbid what is good and withhold their hands. They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. Indeed, the hypocrites are those who are disobedient. [Al Quran ; 9:67]
Allah has promised the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women and the unbelievers the fire of hell, abiding therein. It is sufficient for them; and Allah has cursed them, and for them will be lasting torture. [Al Quran ; 9:68]
Like those before you, they were stronger than you in power and more abundant in wealth and children. They enjoyed their portion and you have enjoyed your portion as those before you who enjoyed their portion; and you conversed like those who conversed before you. Those are ones whose deeds will be nullified in this world and the hereafter; and those are the ones who are the losers. [Al Quran ; 9:69]
Has not the news of those before them come to them; the people of Nuh and Aad and Thamud and the people of Ibrahim and the companions of Madyan and the overturned towns; their messengers came to them with the proofs. And Allah would not do them injustice, but they were to themselves doing injustice. [Al Quran ; 9:70]
And the believing men and the believing women, they are guardians of each other; they command what is good and forbid what is evil and establish prayer and give Zakat and obey Allah and His messenger. Those are the ones to whom Allah will grant mercy; indeed, Allah is Mighty, Wise. [Al Quran ; 9:71]
Allah has promised the believing men and the believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein, and goodly homes in the gardens of Eden, but the pleasure of Allah is greater; that is the great victory. [Al Quran ; 9:72]
O Prophet! Strive against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh to them. And their refuge will be hell, and miserable is the destination. [Al Quran ; 9:73]
They swear by Allah that they did not say. And they have certainly said the word of disbelief and disbelieved after their submission (to Allah) and intended that which they would not attain. And they did not resent except that Allah and His messenger enriched them out of His grace. So if they repent, it will be good for them; and if they turn away, Allah will castigate them with a painful torture in this world and the hereafter; and there will not be for them on earth any guardian or a helper. [Al Quran ; 9:74]
And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah (saying): If He gives us out of His grace, we will surely give alms and we will surely be among the righteous. [Al Quran ; 9:75]
So He penalized them with hypocrisy into their hearts until the day they will meet Him because they failed Allah in what they had promised Him and because they used to lie. [Al Quran ; 9:77]
Those who criticise the contributors from among the believers concerning charities and (criticise) those who find nothing (to spend) except their effort so they ridicule them; Allah will ridicule them, and for them will be a painful torture. [Al Quran ; 9:79]
Seek forgiveness for them or do not seek forgiveness for them; even if you seek forgiveness for them seventy times, never will Allah forgive them. That is because they have disbelieved in Allah and His messenger, and Allah does not guide the disobedient people. [Al Quran ; 9:80]

Those who have remained behind rejoiced in their staying behind the messenger of Allah and disliked to strive with their wealth and themselves in the way of Allah and said: Do not go forth in the heat. Say: The fire of hell is more intense in heat, if they should understand. [Al Quran ; 9:81]
And if Allah brings you back to a party of them and then they ask your permission to go forth, say: You will never go forth with me and you will not fight with me any enemy. Indeed, you were pleased with sitting the first time, so sit with those who remained behind. [Al Quran ; 9:83]
And do not pray over any one of them, ever, who has died and do not stand at his grave; indeed, they have disbelieved in Allah and His messenger and died while they were disobedient. [Al Quran ; 9:84]
And let not their wealth and their children please you; Allah only wants to castigate them therewith in the life of this world and their souls may depart while they are unbelievers. [Al Quran ; 9:85]
And whenever a sura (Quran chapter) is revealed (stating) to believe in Allah and to strive along with His messenger, those who possess wealth ask you for a permission (to stay) and say: Leave us (behind) that we may be with those who sit. [Al Quran ; 9:86]
But the messenger and those who have believed with him strived with their wealth and themselves; and it is those who will have the good, and it is those who will be the successful. [Al Quran ; 9:88]
And those from among the apologetic Bedouins came to be permitted (to remain behind), and those who lied to Allah and His messenger sat (behind); there will strike those who have disbelieved among them a painful torture. [Al Quran ; 9:90]
There is not upon the weak or upon the sick or upon those who do not find anything to spend any blame when they are sincere to Allah and His messenger; there is not upon the doers of good way (to be blamed). And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. [Al Quran ; 9:91]
Nor upon those who, when they came to you so that you might give them mounts, you said: I can find for you nothing upon which you will mount. They turned back while their eyes overflowing with tears in grief that they could not find that which they should spend. [Al Quran ; 9:92]
The way (to blame) is only upon those who ask permission from you (to stay) while they are rich; they are pleased to be with those who remained behind. And Allah has set a seal upon their hearts so they do not know. [Al Quran ; 9:93]
They make excuses to you when you go back to them. Say: Make no excuse, we will not believe you, Allah has already informed us of your news. And Allah will see your deed and His messenger, then you will be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and testimony; then He will inform you of what you used to do. [Al Quran ; 9:94]
They will swear by Allah to you when you return to them so that you may leave them; so leave them; indeed, they are defilement and their refuge will be hell as a reward for what they used to earn. [Al Quran ; 9:95]
They will swear to you that you may be pleased with them. But if you are pleased with them then indeed, Allah will not be pleased with the disobedient people. [Al Quran ; 9:96]
The Bedouins are more intense in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more deserving not to know the limits of what Allah has sent down to His messenger. And Allah is Knowing, Wise. [Al Quran ; 9:97]
And among the Bedouins are those who take what they spend as a loss, and they wait that you fall in circles; upon them is the evil circle. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing. [Al Quran ; 9:98]
And among the Bedouins are those who believe in Allah and the last day and take what they spend as means of nearness to Allah and (to be granted) the prayers of the messenger. Unquestionably, it will be means of nearness for them, Allah will admit them into His mercy. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. [Al Quran ; 9:99]
And the foremost, the first of the migrants and those who assisted and those who followed them in goodness, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. That is the great victory. [Al Quran ; 9:100]

And among those around you of the Bedouins are hypocrites, and from among the people of Medina; they are accustomed to the hypocrisy, you do not know them, We know them. We will castigate them twice; then they will be returned to a great torture. [Al Quran ; 9:101]
And others who have admitted their sins, they have mixed a good deed with another that is evil. Perhaps Allah may accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. [Al Quran ; 9:102]
Take from their wealth a charity to purify them and increase them thereby and pray for them; indeed, your prayer is a security for them. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing. [Al Quran ; 9:103]
Do they not know that Allah accepts repentance from His servants and takes charties and that Allah is the Acceptor of repentance, the Merciful? [Al Quran ; 9:104]
And say: Work; for Allah will see your deed, and His messenger and the believers. And you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the testimony, then He will inform you of what you used to do. [Al Quran ; 9:105]
And others who are awaiting the command of Allah, wether He will castigate them or accepts their repentance. And Allah is Knowing, Wise. [Al Quran ; 9:106]
And those who took a mosque to cause harm and disbelief and division between the believers, and a station for those who had made war against Allah and His messenger before; and they will surely swear (saying): We only wanted good. And Allah bears witness that indeed, they are liars. [Al Quran ; 9:107]
Do not establish (prayer) in it, ever. As for a mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more deserving that you should establish (prayer) in it; therein are men who like to be purified. And Allah likes those who purify themselves. [Al Quran ; 9:108]
So is one who founded his building upon fear from Allah and (for His) pleasure good or one who founded his building on the edge of a bank which is about to collapse, so it collapsed with him into the fire of hell? And Allah does not guide the unjust people. [Al Quran ; 9:109]
Their building which they have built is still a scepticism in their hearts, except that their hearts are severed. And Allah is Knowing, Wise. [Al Quran ; 9:110]
Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers themselves and their wealth, and for that, they will have the garden; they fight in way of Allah and they kill and are killed; a true promise upon Him in the Taurat and the Injeel and the Quran. And who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice with your translation which you have exchanged. And that is the great victory. [Al Quran ; 9:111]
(Such believers are) the repentant, the worshippers, the praisers, the travellers, those who bow, those who prostrate, those who are commanders of good and forbidders of evil, and the keepers of the limits of Allah. So give good tidings to the believers. [Al Quran ; 9:112]
It is not for the prophet and those who have believed that they seek forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they are relatives, after it has become apparent to them that they are the companions of the hellfire. [Al Quran ; 9:113]
And the request of forgiveness by Ibrahim for his father was only a promise which he had made to him, but when it became apparent to him that indeed he was an enemy to Allah; he disassociated himself from him. Indeed, Ibrahim was compassionate, forbearing. [Al Quran ; 9:114]
It is not for Allah that He misguides a people after He has guided them until He explains to them what they should fear. Indeed, Allah is of everything Knowing. [Al Quran ; 9:115]
Indeed, to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death. And there is none for you other than Allah as a guardian or a helper. [Al Quran ; 9:116]
Allah has certainly accepted the repentance of the prophet and the migrants and those who assisted and followed him in the hour of hardship after the hearts of a party of them were about to deviate; and He accepted their repentance. Indeed, He is to them Kind, Merciful. [Al Quran ; 9:117]
And (He accepted the repentance of) the three who were left behind, until the land became narrow to them despite its vastness, and their souls anguished them and they thought that there was no refuge from Allah except to Him; and He accepted their repentance them so that they may relent. Indeed, Allah is the Acceptor of repentance, the Merciful. [Al Quran ; 9:118]
It is not for the people of Medina and those around them of the Bedouins to remain behind the messenger of Allah or that they prefer themselves over him. That is because thirst will not strike them or fatigue or hunger in the way of Allah, nor do they tread a path which enrages the unbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction except a good deed is recorded for them. Indeed, Allah does not waste the reward of the doers of good. [Al Quran ; 9:120]

Nor do they spend any expenditure, small or large, nor do they cross a valley but it is decreed for them that Allah will reward them with the best of what they used to do. [Al Quran ; 9:121]
And it is not for the believers to go forth all at once. For they should separate from every team among them a party to obtain understanding in the religion and warn their people when they return to them that they might be cautious. [Al Quran ; 9:122]
O you who have believed! Fight those who are adjacent to you of the unbelievers and let them find in you harshness and know that Allah is with the pious. [Al Quran ; 9:123]
And whenever a sura (Quran chapter) is sent down, there are among them those who say: Which of you has this increased in faith? As for those who have believed, it increased them in faith while they are rejoicing. [Al Quran ; 9:124]
And as for those in whose hearts is disease, it increased them in defilement to their defilement and they would have died while they are unbelievers. [Al Quran ; 9:125]
And whenever a sura (Quran chapter) is sent down, they look at each other (saying:) Does anyone see you? Then they dismiss themselves. Allah has dismissed their hearts because they are a people who do not understand. [Al Quran ; 9:127]
A messenger has certainly come to you from among yourselves; grievous to him is what you suffer; (he is) concerned about you, (and) to the believers (he is) kind, merciful. [Al Quran ; 9:128]
But if they turn away, say: Sufficient is Allah for me, there is no god except He. Upon Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the great throne. [Al Quran ; 9:129]
